And one final set of pictures of Hippos jumping into Paradise
As I begin to finish out this August 2013 Wet the Hippo Tour Blog (aka I've almost run out of good pictures), I thought I'd post pictures of each of the amazing people who make this strange and wonderful thing possible.
Alec Jones-Trujillo, Claire Titelman, Gabe Mckinney, John Gilkey (and Morcambe), Michael Lieberman, Natalie Palamides, Scotch Wichmann (and the Van), Tim Reid, Tyler Watson.
For the SF shows, we stayed across the bay in a little cottage in back of a friend's house. We used this location for a really great photo shoot, but first we took this test shot below. A few of the Hippos are missing so we were happy to have some furry stand-ins.
Our friend, Matt Jones, came to the show in San Francisco on Monday and made this amazing drawing that he posted on his Twitter feed. Matt Jones is a story artist at Pixar. Follow him on Twitter @Jonezee99 and at mattjonezanimation.blogspot.com
When you come see us perform, this is exactly what it will look like.
Here are the last moments of the tour, as we arrived back in Los Angeles to drop people off at their homes. It was a wonderful tour. Look at those legs.
To get to the Undisclosed Location for our San Francisco shows, you were instructed to look for the Skinny Violinist on the corner of 22nd and Valencia. This is what you would have seen.
We finished two spectacular nights performing to full houses in San Francisco, we couldn't have asked for a better ending to the tour.
The final meal before our final San Francisco show.
Butter and Morcambe decided to make a visit.
Hippos in the Median.
This is the lovely little space in SF.
Also a cat lying on top of a display case. And the bathroom with the sofa chair in the venue.
This is Alec in his hometown of Weaverville.
On our way to the SF show.
We just finished a great show at the Creamery Festival in Arcata. They made a lovely poster with some different colors than we're used to seeing.
We picked up this guy just before we reached Arcata.
Big beard in Willits on our way to Arcata.
Hippos eat breakfast at the Waffle cafe in Placervillle.
A beautiful and peaceful morning in Placerville.
